IMPORTANT NEWSFLASH

UPDATE ON FRIDAY'S WORKSHOP

AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1.  The Friday meeting has been changed to a Community Workshop on Beach Restoration called by the Board of County Commissioners.  There will be a presentation by the St. Josephs Peninsula Beach Advisory Committee for both the commission and the public, as well as a question and answer session.  All interested and concerned citizens should make every possible effort to attend this important workshop.  The date, place and time is:  Friday, November 18, 2005, 1:00 EST, at the Board of County Commissioners meeting room, 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr., Boulevard.

2.  The Commission's next meeting is Tuesday, November 22nd, at

6:00 pm EST.  If at all possible, please plan to attend this meeting.  The commissioners want to hear from the people and will listen to what you have to say on the beach restoration issue.  Several people have asked what the procedure is for speaking at the meeting.  To sign up to speak at the meeting, call Towan at 850-229-6112.  If you call in advance to speak, you will be given 6 minutes to state your position.  If you just ask to speak from the floor, you will be given 3 minutes.

3.  Contact information for the Commissioners.  Many of you who are unable to attend either of these meetings have asked how you can contact the commissioners to let them know your position on the issues.  Below are the phone numbers for all the members of the commission.
